MOA to Host a-Landmark-2025-Expo Positioning Matatu Sector at Forefront of Clean Energy and Innovation
Nairobi, Kenya – The Matatu Owners Association (MOA) has announced the MOA East Africa Public Transport Expo & Leadership Forum 2025, a landmark event set to redefine the future of urban mobility in Kenya. Scheduled for 18th to 20th November 2025 at Uhuru Park, the expo’s theme is “Driving the Future of Public Transport through Clean Energy, Innovation & Road Safety.”
Positioned as more than just an industry gathering, the expo is described as a “statement of intent” from the matatu sector. With over 20 years of advocacy in the Public Service Vehicle (PSV) industry, MOA aims to demonstrate that the sector possesses the vision, leadership, and partnerships necessary to shape a modern, sustainable transport ecosystem.
The matatu sector is the lifeblood of Kenya’s urban mobility, connecting millions daily. This expo is the culmination of that role, showcasing our commitment to a future defined by clean energy, technological innovation, and an unwavering focus on road safety. – Enig Grace
The three-day event will bring together over 2,000 participants, including fleet operators and SACCOs from 42 counties, policymakers, energy companies, investors, and technology innovators. The program features high-level panel discussions on critical topics such as electric mobility financing, data-driven safety cultures, and women in transport leadership, with knowledge exchanges from international experts from countries like Rwanda, Poland, and South Africa.
The choice of Uhuru Park as the venue underscores the event’s commitment to accessibility and inclusivity, taking the conversation to the very people who interact with public transport daily.
Sponsorship opportunities are now available, ranging from the exclusive Rhodium Partner package at KES 10 million to standard exhibition booths, offering companies unparalleled access to a sector that serves over 70% of Kenya’s urban commuters.
